Xiaomi presented the Mi 8 Lite smartphone with the latest features and design
The Chinese company Xiaomi officially presented the new Mi 8 Lite smartphone in a full glass case. According to the company’s employees, the phone case has a unique mirror effect, obtained using the technology of “mirror nano-vacuum spraying,” reports “GizChina”.
It is the works of the French impressionist Oscar-Claude Monet that inspired manufacturers to create the Mi 8 Lite design, the organizers of the presentation say.
The company compares the Mi 8 Lite with the iPhone XR (released September 12). According to Xiaomi, the new smartphone is “Youth Edition” for the iPhone.
The Mi 8 Lite smartphone received a 6.26-inch display with a resolution of Full HD + – 2560 × 1080 pixels. The aspect ratio is 19: 9, on top of the screen there is a cutout. The gadget is built on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE processor on 8 cores with an Adreno 512 GPU graphic core. This chipset is made on a 14-nanometer process technology. The processor works in conjunction with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. Internal memory 64 GB / 128 GB.
The gadget is equipped with a dual camera with modules of 12 megapixel and 5 megapixel resolution, as well as a 24 megapixel front camera. At the same time, the camera on the rear panel is horizontal, not vertical, as in the rest of the Mi 8 series.

Mi 8 Lite got a 3350 mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor on the back panel. The smartphone runs on Android Oreo with the add-on MIUI.
The device comes in two gradient colors – Dream Blue and Twilight Gold. There is also the standard version of Deep Gray with the same mirror effect. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite comes with a starting price of 1399 yuan (approximately $ 204). The pre-order will start on the evening of September 19, and from September 25 the company will begin shipping the phones.
