Startup of the week: Zanco Smart-Pen – the world’s thinnest phone in the form of a stylus

Last week we told you about a unique work for tourists and travelers called Cleansebot, which will provide bed disinfection in hotels. Today’s article is devoted to an unusual Zanco Smart-Pen phone, made in the form of a stylus.

We are used to the fact that most modern phones are made in the form of a classic rectangle. If this is not enough for you, you can find phones in the form of a credit card, devices made in a round case, etc.
Zanco came out on Kickstarter with a gadget that they claim is the “thinnest mobile phone in the world.” The Zanco Smart-Pen measures 123.9 × 18.5 × 15.5 mm, supports work with a nano-SIM card, and in terms of basic functionality is not much different from regular phones.
On the outside of the Zanco Smart-Pen is a large number of different elements.
The phone-stylus is equipped with a keyboard, several buttons for predefined tasks, a navigation bar, a microphone, talk and external speakers, as well as a main and front camera.
Zanco Smart-Pen even has a built-in FM radio and laser pointer, which will focus on important points during presentations.
The 1-inch TFT-display Zanco Smart-Pen has a resolution of 80 × 160 pixels and displays a sufficient amount of information and at the same time consumes a minimum of energy. Representatives of the company Zanco argue that the battery capacity of 400 mAh can ensure the operation of the S-Pen for 6 days.
The “heart” of the phone is the MediaTek MTK6261D processor, and the amount of permanent memory is 32 GB. Also in the side of the case there is a slot for a memory card format MicroSD. Zanco Smart-Pen photo capabilities are represented by two cameras with a resolution of 0.3 MP, which are located on both sides of the case.
Of course, today the Zanco Smart-Pen will no longer be able to replace the familiar smartphone, since it simply does not have enough functionality for that. Nevertheless, this phone-stylus can be for many an interesting additional device that you can always surprise your friends with.
Devices like the Zanco Smart-Pen are often found in spy movies, and therefore Zanco decided to incorporate a voice change function into its gadget. The device can mask your voice in 13 different ways.
